My Story
A Love of
Beautiful Things

The Story Behind Cloth & Gilt
My love of beautiful interiors began long before Cloth & Gilt.
Growing up in Gainesville, Georgia, I was surrounded by a family who appreciated antiques, beautiful textiles, and the decorative arts. My grandmother owned an antique shop, and my mother often took me along to select fabrics, visit the upholsterer, or choose a chandelier. I learned early on that the little details are often what make a home truly special.
Years later, while working with my sister’s interior design firm, I developed a deeper appreciation for designer textiles. Surrounded by beautiful fabrics and remnants from design projects, I couldn’t bear the thought of letting them go unused. When I couldn’t find just the right artwork for my own home, I decided to frame a fabric I had fallen in love with. One piece quickly became another, and Cloth & Gilt was born.
Inspired by traditional interiors, chinoiserie, blue and white, and the layered textures of the North Carolina mountains, I love pairing unexpected patterns, colors, and beautiful frames to create something entirely unique.
Each piece is thoughtfully composed and made by hand, with the hope that it feels collected rather than simply purchased — something with character, a story, and just enough charm to make someone ask, “Where did you find that?”
